Gymnastics & Covid-19

FDLC would like to reassure all gymnasts and parents that the health and safety of all venue users and staff is our top priority and we have increased the cleaning and sanitisation of equipment in the centre and gymnastics area. We have changed a number of class start and finish times to ensure we are able to effectively manage the gymnastics hall space, and have also put in place additional cleaning/sanitising of equipment between classes. We will continue to follow guidance provided by the NSW State Government, NSW Health and Gymnastics NSW & Australia.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have made a few changes to our operations and have updated our conditions of entry to the gymnastics hall. Please ensure you carefully read the below and adhere to any requested protocol changes listed below.

Do not attend any gymnastics if you are unwell and experiencing symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, fever, fatigue or shortness of breath.

Do not attend gymnastics if, in the last 14 days, you have been unwell or had close contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19.

If you have recently travelled from overseas  please follow the current NSW Government and NSW Health advice. Anyone who is unwell should see a doctor in accordance with NSW Health guidelines.

Safety, drop off and pick up, building entry procedure changes

We encourage you to download the COVIDSafe App. In addition, FDLC have organised an app that all participants will use to digitally (via phone) check in to the centre, people without a phone will be required to check in at the front customer service counter. This process is required to assist with contact tracing should we have a gymnast/parent diagnosed with COVID-19.

Please prepare or dress for gymnastics at home.

FDLC will be providing sanitiser stations throughout the gymnastics hall. There are two sanitiser units located at the entry to the gymnastics hall.

Please ensure your child brings their own full labelled drink bottle (please use plastic, no glass bottles are allowed). The water fountain (bubbler) is currently only available for filling of drink bottles

Please ensure your child arrives at the centre in training attire.

To ease congestion and to maintain social distancing protocols during drop off and pick up, FDLC has created two specific areas for drop off and pick up (waiting). We request at this time that you do not enter the centre and drop off your child to FDLC coaches at the designated drop off zone (please see the map). Currently the FDLC viewing area is closed to the public and the onsite café has limits to their space reserved for café customers only. At each pick and drop off area there will be a QR code sign to check your child in and out via our visitor management software.

Adult Gymnastics - participants are required to wipe down all used surfaces with available disinfectant spray after use.

If you have any questions or feeback regarding any of the above please email or call the centre on 9911 6300.
